When Dr. Michael Casemier started veterinary school he did so with the intent of being a small animal doctor. However, as he went through the program at Michigan State University, he saw a need for veterinarians in the equine field.
Dr. Casemier was introduced to the Cleveland Equine Clinic, when he worked at the racetrack with Dr. Robinson on a respiratory research project in 2006. He later joined Cleveland Equine Clinic as a doctor, after graduating from Michigan State University in 2008.
Dr. Casemier's professional interests include lameness and rehabilitation with a focus on eventing, dressage and endurance. He has a special interested in MESO therapy.
He grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and has a background in endurance riding, having competed at endurance events, as well as working at the rides. He and his wife reside in Atwater and keep horses for pleasure riding.
