Margaret Cumming, DVM

Dr. Margaret Cumming has been in practice for 30 years and began her practice at the Randall Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner for small animals and horses. She developed a special interest in eyes early in her career because she saw a great need in the area. Dr. Cumming has treated countless eye injuries and disease on her visits to race tracks and farms, as well as cases brought to her at the Randall Veterinary Hospital. Her advice to those facing an equine eye injury is not to delay in seeking professional advice as horses are prone to certain bacteria in the eye, which can promote serious complications.

A graduate of Michigan State University and the Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Cumming is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. She also owns two small animal veterinary practices: Summit Animal Hospital in Northfield Center and Hillcrest Animal Hospital in Richmond Heights.

She is married to Dr. Genovese and has a daughter who is pursuing a career in medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
