Daniel A. Wilson, DVM

Dr. Daniel Wilson is a 1975 graduate of the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he joined Dr. Joseph Soloman and Dr. Ronald L. Genovese in practice at Randall Veterinary Hospital. In 1986, he left the practice to form Lake Equine Associates, and later joined forces as a joint partner to form Cleveland Equine Clinic. Dr. Wilson's areas of interest include standardbred racetrack practice, equine anesthesia, and racing medications and testing.

Dr. Wilson is a very active leader in the veterinary world through his work in a number of professional organizations.   Dr. Wilson has chaired the Equine Committee for many years, and is the 2002 OVMA recipient Distinguished Service Award. In the American Association of Equine Practitioners he is currently a member of the Board of Directors representing his District 5. He is also past President of the Northeastern Ohio Equine Practitioners Association.

He is also a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Department of Agriculture Equine Advisory Committee and Ohio State Racing Commission Medication Committee. His efforts have contributed to improving the safety and welfare of the racing industry.

Dr. Wilson has two sons, Daniel II, a mechanical engineer who lives in New York, and Douglas, a diesel mechanic who lives in Ohio.
